The Chinese Print Ad contains creative files for the outdoor board targeting members of the Chinese community to raise awareness of suicide prevention and encourage people to recognize the signs of suicide and seek help when needed. This resource was designed as a statewide resource, but can be customized for local awareness as well.
The print ad is aimed at "helpers" in the Chinese general community, those who can recognize warning signs and offer support to a person who might be thinking about ending their life. The message encourages them to learn the warning signs and reach out to a person in need. The materials were developed in conjunction with a workgroup whose members represented several agencies including the NICOS Chinese Health Coalition, the San Gabriel Pomona Regional Center, Dignity Health Medical Foundation, Reach Out, and Alameda Community Mental Health Services.
The print ads can be downloaded in two formats: print ready files and electronic files. The electronic files can be shared via email and printed on your home or office computer. The print ready files can be submitted to outside printers, such as Kinkos.
